As a teacher, I think I would use surveys for daily classroom functions. I plan on teaching a second grade class, so surveys might be useful to record things like which students are buying their lunch and which are bringing their own. Because I plan to teach a younger grade,  I don't think I would use surveys often for course material. For younger students, I think surveys may be more difficult to effectively employ in a class.

After looking through my classmates’ blogs, I really liked seeing their powerpoints for Assignment 5. This assignment allowed for a lot of creativity, and I liked seeing how everyone formatted their powerpoint to become interactive with their students. I also found it interesting to read about people’s opinions on distance learning. It was really interesting to read about their experiences with distance learning and compare it with my own.

The next technology-related skill i would like to learn is how to better set up spreadsheets and formulas on Excel. I think that it's a really useful tool that I still don’t know enough about. I think i could save myself a lot of time and effort later on throughout my career by learning how to utilize more formulas in excel now. To achieve this goal I think I need to do more individual research on how to work on Excel, and take notes of the different formulas I can use and how to use them.
