After working on the Web Design assignment, I feel like I gained a lot of new skills, as I hadn’t designed a web page before. I learned how to navigate website creation platforms like weebly. I also learned how to create a Google calendar and how to embed it. I liked this assignment because it helped me learn the skills necessary to design a website, and also allowed for some creativity in the design. I can use the skills I learned to develop a website for my own classroom when I work as a teacher later on. Here’s the link to my website: https://englishclass2m.weebly.com/      After working with Diigo, I now have a better understanding of how to navigate the site. This site might be useful in my classroom, as I could use it for my students’ group projects, as a site for my students to collaborate on. With team members, I can collaborate on projects using Diigo as the platform to put our shared work. As an individual professional, I can improve m...

I looked up the website of my old elementary school, St. Joseph’s . While I was a student there, I had access to specific class pages, but that information is not available publicly. Instead, I was able to find overviews of each school subject, such as art or math. This information allowed me to get a basic understanding of the subjects at St. Joseph’s, without violating the privacy of the teachers or students.      In my future career, I can see myself using technology very frequently. By the time I begin teaching, I expect my students will be more comfortable using forms of technology that i did not grow up using, so I believe i will need a lot of experience with technology to stay current. Specifically, I think I will utilize google classroom as a teacher. I think it is a convenient tool because my students will be able to connect it to a gmail account, so the majority of class technology can be accessed through google (ie. google docs, google...

My initial experience with Diigo went fairly well. The functions I had to use on it to complete the assignment were straightforward and easy to follow. I liked that Diigo enables interaction between members of different classes, as this allows me to see new perspectives on class materials. Overall, I think Diigo is a useful supplementary tool in this class, although I don't think it would be helpful as the main form of communication in class. Before this class, I had never used a blog before, so I definitely had a bit of a learning curve. Overall, I’ve found that I like using a blog. It’s a very easy way to see all of the different things I’ve learned and written about in class, and a very helpful way to see the perspectives of my classmates. During the blogging process, I’ve learned more about formatting my blog, as well as how to comment on others’ blogs. A Web 2.0 tool that I would like to use in my classroom later on is Quizlet . This tool is a website that allows students to...
