       As a teacher, I think I would use surveys for daily classroom functions. I plan on teaching a second grade class, so surveys might be useful to record things like which students are buying their lunch and which are bringing their own. Because I plan to teach a younger grade,  I don't think I would use surveys often for course material. For younger students, I think surveys may be more difficult to effectively employ in a class.      After looking through my classmates’ blogs, I really liked seeing their powerpoints for Assignment 5. This assignment allowed for a lot of creativity, and I liked seeing how everyone formatted their powerpoint to become interactive with their students. I also found it interesting to read about people’s opinions on distance learning. Overall, I've had a fairly positive experience as a distance learner. I like how I can do all of my classes from my room, and how all of the resources for my classes can be found on Canvas. I don't like how limited group collaboration is in distance learning, as I've always found it easier to work on group projects when the group is able to meet in person. As a teacher, I think I could improve my students’ experience as distance learners by finding ways to vary the classroom routine, as it can get boring for students to do the same format for every assignment.      Open educational resources are copyrighted materials that are open to the public to be used for educational purposes. Educators are allowed to display, alter, or recreate these resources.
